Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 25, 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

CodeCop (the "Service") is operated by uniq Holding Inc ("CodeCop", "we", "us"). By creating an account, scanning code, or otherwise using the Service, you ("you", "User") agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you are using CodeCop on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization. If you are an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.

2. The Service

CodeCop is an AI-assisted security scanning tool that reviews source code you submit (pasted, uploaded as files/archives, or fetched from public GitHub repositories) and returns findings, OWASP/CWE mappings, and remediation suggestions. The Service is provided on a Free tier (limited scans, paste-only) and Pro tiers (unlimited scans, file/repo support, PDF and email reports, scan history).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • use CodeCop for any unlawful purpose, fraud, spam, or abuse;
  • submit code or content that infringes intellectual property or other rights of third parties;
  • probe, scan, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including attempts to bypass authentication, rate limits, or scan quotas;
  • upload malware, exploits intended to harm third parties, or content that is unlawful, harassing, or discriminatory;
  • resell, redistribute, or expose the Service or its outputs as your own product without our written consent;
  • reverse engineer or attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts, or system instructions.

4. Your account and content

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You retain ownership of the code you submit; you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and analyze that code solely to provide the Service to you and to operate, secure, and improve the Service. Do not submit code you do not have the right to share with a third-party processor.

5. AI outputs and accuracy

CodeCop uses large language models to analyze code. Findings may be incomplete, inaccurate, or include false positives or false negatives. CodeCop is a developer aid, not a substitute for professional security review. You are responsible for verifying findings before acting on them, and you should not rely on CodeCop alone for compliance, audit, regulated, or safety-critical use cases.

You are responsible for your prompts and for how you use the outputs. You must have the rights to submit any code or content you upload. We may filter, refuse, or remove outputs at our discretion to maintain service safety. We may suspend accounts that repeatedly submit infringing or unlawful content; rights holders may contact us at the email below to report suspected infringement.

6. Payments, subscriptions, and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Stripe. Stripe is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Stripe provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Stripe's Buyer Terms: stripe.com/legal/consumer.

Pro subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle (monthly or annual) until canceled. You can cancel any time from your billing page or via billing.stripe.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; access to Pro features continues until that date.

7. Intellectual property

CodeCop, including its software, models, prompts, branding, and documentation, is owned by uniq Holding Inc and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with your selected plan. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Service level

We work hard to keep CodeCop available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that AI findings will be complete. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

9. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence).

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify uniq Holding Inc against claims arising from your submitted content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for: material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete account data after a reasonable export window unless we are required to keep it.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which uniq Holding Inc is established, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@codecop.io. For payment, billing, or refund questions, contact Stripe at billing.stripe.com.
